Tinkering

Break things, make things

Tinkering

W hat was your first toy? Despite Knight Rider, GI Joe and Transformers being the toy-of-choice in the 80’s, I chose a rock from my backyard. Why, you ask? I used that rock (I called her Baby Boulder) to break apart all my other toys in order to see how they were built. After breaking them apart, I'd put them back together. That spirit, for better or worse, is a part of who I am, and lives on in everything I do. From making interactive OOH displays , to custom gizmos running on Raspberry Pi's. I'm curious, determined, and self-motivated. Want to work with me on a project? CLICK HERE.

Exploring

I know what you’re thinking: why have this section? Isn't it just the same as saying "I like to vacation a lot" on your resume? Kind of, but the truth is that I do like vacationing. Here's the thing, I believe in balance. I love taking on a big responsibility, completing it successfully, and rewarding myself with some natural inspiration. Plus, you don’t want to work with someone who doesn’t know how to take care of themselves, right? Taking a break after 1000 straight hours of digital work allows me to show up fully for all aspects of my life. It's also worth mentioning that I take great care of my physical, mental, and spiritual health. When I'm not intensity training, meditating, or studying, I enjoy cooking healthy cuisines.

Developing

Let my fingers build your digital reality

Developing

W hen I stumbled upon coding, I quickly discovered how much I appreciate the art of functional organization. Building something from scratch, that interacts and looks good to the user scratches a certain type of itch. I work comfortably on both front-end and back-end systems alike. On the front-end, besides modern libraries like React and React Native, and of course ES6, 7, and bootstrap, I've been using motion frameworks like Lottie and GSAP to help tell stories visually, and I often use React to glue it all together. For the back-end, I tend to reach for NodeJs and Redux, but I'm pretty decent at developing both rails and php applications. Speaking of apps, want to see some of my demos and Proof Of Concepts? check it out .

Animating

Life is boring, let's animate it

Animating

M y first experiences on a computer was pre-gui(Graphical User Interface). I started with IBM's 8-bit home computer called the Commodore 64 . A few years later (well, more like fifteen) I was introduced to Adobe ActionScript where I was exposed to tween animation for the first time, and realized how creative a computer could be. From then on, I've been playing with animation in any program that comes along. To list a few: Bryce 3D, Blender, Flash, After Effects, SVG, GSAP, Lottie (bodymovin), Flare.

Welcome to my world!

I'm a powerhouse of great ideas put into action. A self-determined, in the moment, highly motivated Rockstar at getting things done!
I'm really into Javascript,CSS, animation, developer experience, and deleting code.
